In The Why Debate, we present you with some dilemmas that don't have a clear-cut solution. Just like in life, nothing is black and white — there are usually pros and cons to every decision you make. You'll need to consider all the factors, put yourself in the shoes of those affected by each option, and tell us what you would do and why!

Discuss the dilemma with a friend, your sister, your uncle, your godfather — with whoever you want, really — and start a truly fascinating conversation, full of agreements and disagreements! Attention! These dilemmas don’t have just one solution and they spark fiery debates!

What will children gain from this activity?

Through their engagement with Why’s Dilemmas, children will cultivate their critical thinking skills and explore different perspectives on a highly interesting topic. They will also enhance the development of 21st-century soft skills and, of course, have fun! Specifically, they will:
Understand what a dilemma is—one that doesn’t have right or wrong answers, but multiple perspectives with pros and cons
